An early panoramic photograph of the Colosseum attributed to Tommaso Cuccioni, a successful engraver and print dealer in Rome. It was constructed from three wet-plate collodion negatives seamlessly stitched together.

The photograph was sent to the Athenæum from Rome by member Albert J. Jones in 1860. It was framed in Providence by the Board of Directors at the Vose Gallery and was displayed in the main hall from the mezzanine for many years.
